Ady Lamm has some big footsteps to follow in, a family name to uphold.

Lamm, a junior at Notre Dame High School, is the daughter of West Burlington-Notre Dame boys track and field coach Corey Lamm.

He is considered one of the top high jump coaches in the state.

Her uncle, Scot Lamm, is coach of the Mount Pleasant girls track and field team.

He is considered one of the most knowledgeable hurdles coaches in the state.

Her brother, Jax, placed second in Class 3A at the 2019 state meet in the 100-meter dash.

And she has several cousins who excelled at hurdles and sprints.

Ady Lamm is starting to make a name for herself.

Lamm ran on the Falcons’ sprint medley relay team that finished 17th in Class 3A at last year’s state meet in 1 minute, 54.66 seconds.

Lamm was at her best in front of the home fans at last week’s Falcon Coed Relays at Bill Nelson Field.

Lamm won the 100 in 13.41 and anchored the 4x100 relay team to a title in 54.82.

Lamm also runs the opening leg of the Falcons’ distance medley relay team that has run a time of 4:41.79 this season.

With the weather heating up, Lamm is ready to put up some quick times.

The Hawk Eye recently caught up with Lamm, the High School Athlete of the Week, to learn a little more about her.
