The Notre Dame-West Burlington high school boys soccer had another banner season.

The Nikes went 14-5, including 8-0 in the SEI Super Conference.

ND-WB advanced to a Class 1A substate final before falling to Pella Christian, 1-0, on a late penalty kick.

The Nikes were rewarded for their sensational season by landing six players on the All-SEI Super Conference first team, three more on the second team and a pair of honorable mentions.

In addition, ND-WB coach Aron West was named Coach of the Year and sophomore forward Jordan Edgington was named Player of the Year.

Edgington led the state in scoring with 42 goals to go along with 11 assists. He was tied for second in points with 95. He broke the school record for goals in a season previously held by Sam Brueck.

Joining Edgington on the first team for the Nikes are sophomore Jayden Nanthan, juniors Tatum Warner and Bryson Sadler and seniors Evan Vanerstrom and Logan Hamma.

Nanthan scored 22 goals and had 22 assists for 57 points. Warner had 18 goals and 23 assists for 59 points. Sadler had one goal and nine assists for 11 points. Vanerstrom and Hamma anchored a defense which allowed just 14 goals all season and had 11 shutouts.

Freshman Grayson Dean and juniors Griffin Kies and Luke Carper were named to the second team, while sophomore midfielder Liam Lowary and freshman goalkeeper Theo Reif received honorable mention.

Central Lee, Danville, Mediapolis and WACO each landed one player on the first team.

Seyb scored 17 goals and had six assists for 40 points for the Hawks, who went 9-6 overall, 5-3 in the conference. Colton Taft and Mason Sanders were named to the second team, while Zach Estrada and Nathan Newberry received honorable mention.

Danville junior goalkeeper Kendrick Noll was named to the first team after helping the Bears to a 5-8-3 record, including 2-4-2 in the conference. Noll made 196 saves and allowed 67 goals, saving 74.5 percent of the shots he faced. Trevor Yaley, Quinn Samples and Kaiden Kerr were named to the second team for Danville, while Alex Pfadenhauer and Zeke Oribiana received honorable mention.

Grant Kennedy scored 20 goals and had four assists for 44 points for Mediapolis, which went 6-7-2 overall, 4-3-1 in the conference. Grant Konecne was named to the second team for the Bulldogs, while Quincy King and Maxx Ortiz received honorable mention.

WACO senior Tristan Lutjens was named to the first team after helping the Warriors to a 5-7 record, including 3-5 in the conference. He scored 12 goals and had 11 assists for 35 points. Neil Reichenbach and Raefe Davison were named to the second team for WACO, while Holden Hughes and Levi Bachman received honorable mention.

Leo Corona and Freddy Escobar received honorable mention for Columbus.
