Allee Rose Booten found herself in a familiar spot on Tuesday evening.
The Notre Dame High School sophomore was one shot behind Ava Jackson of Johnston after the opening round of the Southeast Iowa Junior Golf Open at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course in Fort Madison.
By Wednesday afternoon, Booten was at the top of the leaderboard, a spot she has grow accustomed to over the last few years.
Booten carded a 3-over-par 74 at Flint Hills Municipal Golf Course to win the Girls 14-15 division by three strokes over Jackson, who carded a 78.
Booten was one of several area golfers who placed in the top three in their respective age divisions.
In the Girls 16-18 bracket, Ashlyn Bender of Winfield took third with a two-day total of 176.
In the Boys 14-15 division, Jayden Welch of Donnellson took third with a 161.
In the Boys 11-and-under class, Benjamin Huffman of Fort Madison took third with a 111.
Jonah Moeller of Donnellson won the Boys 12-13 age group with a 57, while Evan Hartley of Niota, Illinois was second with a 65. He won a cardback against Wyatt Brennan of Fort Madison, who also shot a 65.
Paisley Moyers of Burlington won the Girls 12-13 division with a 75.
Lynnix McMullin of New London won the Girls 10-11 division with a 46.
In the Boys 10-11 group, Kage Gunn of Burlington was second with a 60, while Reece Holtkamp of Fort Madison and Brady Moeller of Donnellson tied for third at 65.
In the Boys 8-9 group, Kingston Alston of Burlington was second with a 50, while Dean Holtkamp of Fort Madison was third with a 73.
