Grade 4 spent Thursday morning in downtown Burlington! First, they glazed their clay pots at the Art Center. Then they walked up 4th Street to the Heritage Center (the original Burlington public library) where volunteers guided them through a scavenger hunt, a Slow Art experience and a tour of the stacks. Viewing old documents, written in cursive by local residents, offered a new perspective on the value of cursive.

Grades 3 and 5 took a field trip on Wednesday, April 15, to see "100 Paintings," at SCC's Murray Gallery. Artist David Garrison met the students in the gallery. He visited with them, answered questions and told stories of his many decades of experience painting.
