Habemus Papam! We have a pope!
The Papal Conclave began a day early in 7th grade, with the “cardinal electors” casting their ballot for the next pope. They then placed their ballots in the gold “chalice”, under the Sistine Chapel’s The Last Judgement, by Michaelangelo!
ND was represented well at the AEA's annual Battle of the Books competition in Fairfield yesterday! Four teams, two elementary and two middle school, traveled to compete with schools from all over Southeast Iowa, and were treated to a zoom with Minecraft author Danica Davidson!
Juron reads to the class, "We Have a Pope!" in anticipation of the papal conclave that begins tomorrow.
