5th Grade Market Day - Photo Batch #3 Here is what 5th grade has been working on and completed today! They learned about profit vs. income, created a business plan and developed a product to sell, and today they were given an allowance to buy from each other in a “Market Day” activity. Some created posters to advertise what they were selling, and others created commercials or digital ads. Some started an auction and sold to the highest bidder. A lot of work and creativity came from this and it was fun seeing them in this element! It was a little loud and crazy, but they all had so much fun and got to take home lots of cool goodies!

Nikes Baseball Update! Tomorrows game against Wapello has a change in venue. Due to the forecast tomorrow in Eastern Iowa, the game will not be played at Field of Dreams. Don't worry we are looking into still playing at Field of Dreams at some point this season if possible. However, we are still going to be playing the game just back at its original place at Wapello. We are still looking at the weather for tomorrow as there is still potential for weather here.

Today, the juniors taught the seventh grade the truths of the four Marian Dogmas. This is the juniors final exam grade in Religion. A common misconception is the worship of Mary by Catholics. She is greatly honored by God and by Catholics. We look to her as a wonderful example of what happens when we say yes to God no matter what. Without her Son, Mary would not have been able to say yes. Jesus died and rose for us all, including His mother. She always directs us to Him. How beautiful to contemplate!

The Art Center of Burlington (3rd and Jefferson Sts.) is exhibiting art in its main gallery created by art educators of all the public and private schools in DM County, now through May 30. Hours are Tues-Thurs, 10-6; Fri-Sat, 10-4. This includes ND's own Nicole Kamrath and Sharon Vasicek! Entry is free. Art works, some of them, are for sale. But just come and see!

Nike Baseball Opens Up Conference Play on Tues. May 21st! Nikes and Wapello Arrows will be playing on the Field of Dreams! Travel to watch Nikes on the historic movie set field. -No Admission -Bring Chairs to sit but stay behind the netting -No Outside food,Concession avail.

He donated all the graphics/labor on the outside Monte Ward/Jim's Body Shop/Towing. Donated two new tires Les Sadler-Donated many hours and dollars putting in labor/materials for the project. He also got the wheels and hardware powder-coated. Thank you to Deery Bros for the initial donation. Wolf Decals and Deery Bros both have acknowledgement of their donations on the trailer.

Notre Dame baseball team will be playing at the Field of Dreams on Tuesday May 21st at 5:30 for Varsity and JV to follow. It is free and there is parking. People just need to bring their own chairs. They will play Wapello. Swing Batter Swing!!!
